While working as a lawyer, Tamara L. Hoffstatter became aware of a common overlap between bankruptcy/collection cases, and divorce cases, which affords her a unique perspective in approaching the financial aspects of divorce cases. With a growing interest in family law Tamara took a position with a nationwide law firm in its Michigan office allowing her to return to the legal arena that first sparked her interest in client advocacy.

In 2013, the firm approached her to relocate to New Mexico to open up a branch office in Albuquerque. Tamara is the managing attorney at NM Divorce & Custody Law, LLC where she practices exclusively in family law. She and her wife Michelle raised two children together and are also the proud “parents” of six rescue dogs. She is an honors graduate of the University of Iowa and graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law.
