Pittella Law
You see quite a lot when you have been in family practice for decades! Much of it is not pleasant at least not in the beginning. I have practiced family law since 1973 and have devoted my career to finding ways to help families who face the difficult decisions of separation and divorce when least able to to think clearly. I have learned that families need to create a plan that best suits their needs. I know that is best done in collaboration or mediation. Litigation pits them as enemies. I do not encourage litigation because I do not understand how a stranger can make the best decision for any family. I do suggest outside neutral sources who can cost-effectively provide the information a couple needs to reach a final outcome that will be satisfactory for them. I help them retain control of the process while encouraging them to formulate the terms of an agreement by focusing on their future. When there are children focusing on the primary objective of effective co-parenting for those children is a primary goal..
Since I maintain a family based practice, I also represent buyers and sellers in real estate transactions as well as refinances. I also prepare wills, power of attorneys and advanced medical directives. Families undergo so many changes. I strive to provide services that reduce the stress and cost of legal transactions.
